  1. Why would MERC even consider this piece of garbage, let alone talk of signing it in any form. Call the Min. bluff. If the Min. wants our 12hr shifts gone, then this gives our approval to take them. This crap should not even be DISCUSSED and belongs in a spot where the sun don't shine. MERC created this 12hr problem and now they want to solve it by taking a bullet to the head. I don't think so!!!!!

  3. NO ONE wants to keep the 12-hour shifts more than I do BUT I will do anything and everything (included biting the bullet and doing 8-hour shifts) to stop this insanity that the Gov't AND our own MERC team seem to be dishing on us!!!
A lot of people can't see beyond themselves and don't realize a bit of sacrifice now will help keep what we already have. We have fought long and hard for our benefits and now the govt seems intent on gutting our current Collective Agreement. What we lose we don't get back!!!!
There is no way we should sign this piece of garbage!!!!!
